Fiorentina seem to be drifting towards chaos as patron Andrea Della Valle angers his own press.

These are stormy days for la Viola as the complicated departure of Mohamed Salah is angering the club as well as the supporters and could result in legal action.

Fiorentina attacked Inter for what they deemed to be inappropriate behaviour, but they in turn are the object of similar accusations over the case of defender Facundo Roncaglia.

To pour oil onto the fire, it seems that patron Andrea Della Valle is taking a duplicitous attitude towards the press too.

Yesterday the 49-year-old announced he would come to the club's base in Moena and talk to the press, then repeatedly changed his plans and eventually let it be known he was only there for a walk.

Those journalists who had come to Moena to hear him were compelled to follow him and get some statements on the go.

The line of action angered the news outlet Firenzeviola.it, who decided not to report ADV's comments and published a statement condemning his behaviour as disrespectful – just like Roncaglia's agent did on the same day.

ADV himself is presumably aware of the controversy, as one of the last statements he delivered in yesterday's walk promised a future clarification.

“At the end of the team's summer friendlies I'll return to Florence and we'll have a good chat together to discuss every subject.

“Have faith, we need only a few things but they are essential.”
