Finland players are wearing t-shirts with a get well soon message for Christian Eriksen during the warm-up of their game against Russia.

The Inter midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest in Denmark vs. Finland on Saturday and was given urgent CPR on the pitch. He was stabilised and taken to hospital where he is undergoing further medical examinations.

The game, which was the first-ever encounter for Finland at the European Championships, was resumed and eventually won by the Markku Kanerva’s side.

Today, Finland players are wearing shirts that read: ‘Get well Christian.’

They face Russia at Saint Petersburg’s Stadium at 2 pm UK time and a win would allow them to reach the round of 16 with a game to spare.

Eriksen sent a message from his hospital bed yesterday to say he’s fine and to thank ‘for the sweet and amazing messages from all around the world’.
