Sampdoria have confirmed Harry Wink’s loan move and the Blucerchiati are reported to have a €25m option to sign the Tottenham midfielder permanently in 2023.

Marco Giampaolo’s side confirmed Wink’s loan move at Marassi on Wednesday. The Tottenham midfielder will remain at Samp until the end of the season and according to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A side have an option to buy for €25m next summer.

Winks was no longer in Antonio Conte’s plans so Sampdoria managed to secure his signature. Tottenham will pay part of the midfielder’s salary throughout the season.

Sampdoria have collected two points in the opening four Serie A games. They picked up a late 1-1 draw against Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio at Marassi last night thanks to a goal of Manolo Gabbiadini.

Winks, a product of Tottenham’s academy, leaves England for the first time in his career. He has scored two goals in 128 Premier League appearances with Spurs.
