Paul Pogba is currently completing his medicals with Juventus before putting pen to paper on a long-term deal.

The 29-year-old Frenchman is joining the Bianconeri on a free transfer following his contract’s expiration with Manchester United last week. Pogba had a fairly difficult six-year spell in the North West of England, often failing to convince the fans and pundits alike of his quality.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport, once Pogba’s medicals have been completed, he’ll sign a three year contract with an option for a fourth with Juventus. The deal will see him earn €8m net per season plus €2m in add-ons, with the move benefiting from the Growth Decree law.

Pogba is a much-needed addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield and the club hope he’ll inject some life into the system following a fairly lethargic campaign last season.

During his first spell in Turin, the French midfielder scored 34 goals and provided 40 assists in 177 appearances.

9 thought on “Figures behind Pogba’s contract with Juventus”
  1. If Pogba can get anywhere near the numbers he hit in his 1st spell 34G 40A in 177 he will be considered a great signing. 8 million a year is a lot of money. When you consider midfielders like SMS, Tonali, Bennacer and Barella are the best in Italy currently it’s not good value.

  2. Bennacer is a fantastic example of value for money and he doesn’t have a diva attitude like Pogba.

  3. Give credit to Pogba. He did nothing in his 6 years in Manchester, has stocks in tik tok and is nearly 30 years young. To get that deal with Juve is business savvy on his part. Only a team that has not figured out how to win a CL in the post modern era would give such figures. Since he was free, no Spanish sides, EPL rivals and Bayern came in. Even Don Beppe must have looked at those figures and turned the other way. Now Max Skywalker can get him back on track with his version of tiki taka.

  4. @SLOWBALL
Well actually his stats was pretty good in Man Utd taken even though he was injured for a season and a half and was almost all the time played as a defensive midfielder or a deep-lying playmaker comparing to the Attacking midfielder he was at his first spell at Juve .

  5. @Slowball Yes, terrible player. Only won the World Cup and National League during his Utd tenure but those don’t count right? Utd had a lot of problems that couldn’t just be dumped on him. It’s OK though, Aldi Messi will be a bargain at Inter and Don Beppe will land a great deal for Inter Medical.

  6. Fatecisognare, again why are you talking about lord. Are you cheating on me. Look I was okay at first with you leaving your husband for me and having a few boys on the side. But you promised me that you would never talk to other men since we hooked up. Now I will get the bed warm for us and later tonight you can douse me in malt vinegar and lick it up.
