Kim Min-Jae is now set to join Napoli after an agreement was reached with Fenerbahce and he’s ready to sign a five-year contract with the club.

The 25-year-old Korean centre back is being brought in to shore up the Partenopei’s backline following the €40m departure of Kalidou Koulibaly last week. Leo Ostigard of Brighton was already signed and now Kim will be added to Luciano Spalletti’s squad as well.

As reported by TMW, Kim is ready to sign a five-year contract with Napoli worth around €2.5m net per season plus add-ons. Also present in his deal is a €42m release clause, valid from the second year onwards.

Napoli have agreed to pay Fenerbahce the Korean’s release clause in order to close out a deal, beating out competition from the interested Rennes.

Last season, Kim made 39 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 3268 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal and helped the side keep nine clean sheets.
