Juventus met with Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent Fali Ramadani today to confirm their interest in a deal for the Napoli centre back, crafting an initial offer.

The 31-year-old Senegalese defender’s current contract with the Partenopei is set to expire next year and an agreement has been reached regarding a renewal due to president Aurelio De Laurentiis’ desire to cut the wage bill. Koulibaly has been with Napoli since 2014 and enjoys living in the city, but the behaviour of De Laurentiis could push him away this summer.

As reported by Romeo Agresti, Juventus are ready to offer Napoli €30m for Koulibaly, who they’d be willing to pay around €6m net per season. It’s still unclear whether the player is open to the move to Turin or not.

The Bianconeri are preparing for the possible departure of Matthijs de Ligt and it’s a clear a defensive reinforcement is needed regardless following Giorgio Chiellini’s move to the MLS.

  1. No way will ADL accept £30M. Just like Juve rejected Chelsea’s first offer. Why waste money. They have Paolo Montero right there for the taking. He meets PhD Max’s criteria. He is only 51 years young, know the club inside out, has grinta in abundance and can play on the left side of a defensive pairing. He will cost zero Euro’s and can teach Zaniolo on his new defensive position as well. After all PhD Max is a busy man needing a full week to craft out plans for the 0-0, and there is the back, back, down, down ritiro to prepare for, as they will start slowly again.

  2. 30m euros for his is a great figure, not bothered about him getting 6m euros salary – thats fine, however i would only give him a 4yr deal
