Inter have released their latest balance sheets, confirming the costs behind the deal for free agent Marcus Thuram.

The 26-year-old Frenchman joined up with the Nerazzurri on a free transfer in the summer after his contract expired with Borussia Monchengladbach, adding another forward option to Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

Thuram has started well with Inter this season, scoring four goals and providing seven assists in his first 12 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League, quickly forming a strong partnership with Lautaro Martinez.

As confirmed in Inter’s balance sheets, Thuram’s transfer cost the club around €8m in commissions, with €413,000 already being amortized.

Each year of his contract, Thuram’s costs will be around €1.6m lower on the balance sheets, so next summer they’ll sit at €6.4m and €4.8m the year after.

Considering his incredible start to the season, the deal for the Frenchman has already started to prove his worth and his market value could be upwards of €40m.
