Cagliari signed talented full back Franco Carboni from Inter last week in a loan deal that includes a buy-back option.

The Nerazzurri signed the Argentinian full back from Catania in January 2020 in a deal worth around €400,000, adding him to their youth system. After a couple of years of development, they’ve decided that now’s the right time for a breath of fresh air as he continues to grow.

As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Cagliari signed Carboni from Inter in a loan deal with a €7.5m buy option attached. Inter’s buy-back option is set at just under €9m, making the deal extremely low risk for the Nerazzurri should the 19-year-old prove his qualities in Sardinia.

With the Rossoblu suffering relegation to Serie B, Carboni has the chance to gain regular first team minutes in Sardinia and it could be exactly what he needs to break into Serie A. He is the son of former RB Salzburg and Catania midfielder Ezequiel Carboni.
