Video: Figo suggests Ronaldo made right decision swapping Juventus for Man United

Portugal legend Luis Figo believes Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United is the ‘best choice he could make.’

Ronaldo swapped the Old Lady with the Red Devils in a €15m deal during the last week of the summer transfer window.

The Portuguese ace had joined the Bianconeri from Real Madrid for €112m in 2018 and scored 101 goals in 134 appearances with the Serie A giants.

His compatriot Luis Figo explained why the 36-year-old made the right decision returning to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo had already played with the Premier League giants between 2003 and 2010 when he scored 118 goals in 292 games.

“I think Manchester United is the best choice for Cristiano,” Figo told Give Me Sport.

“It’s a place that he knows, he has a history in the club, the fans love him. I think it’s the best place to be in the last part of his career.”

The former Juventus superstar has already scored three goals in four appearances across all competitions in his second spell at Manchester United.

And in other more important news current Juventus star Alvaro Morata has scored 3 goals in 6 appearances across all competitions, and he doesn’t seem to tick off his teammates with “all about me” antics.

Damn right get away from Allegri’s 1984 catenaccio zombie sleep football.

Whoever Ronaldo plays for, overnight it becomes the Portuguese national team. Suddenly a bit like a state broadcast service, everyone and anyone who has an opinion must say positive things about Ronaldo, or risk being criticised. Small country mentality.

Now! if only we could get this website to move on from Ronaldo!

@Rosario rather small mind mentality like yourself, unable to accept the fact that one of greatest players of all time has moved on…
Hate it or love it he has put serie A back on the map and iv been following serie a consistently since the 90’s.

Must be a juve-glory-hunting-fan boy, upset he jumped a sinking ship, and you want to comment about small mentality.

I’ll read about Ronaldo all day long, keep those articles coming
