The Nerazzurri have lost five of their last six official matches, including home defeats to Novara and Bologna.
Ranieri insisted he is “not planning” to resign, but there are reports the Coach could be axed if he also loses Wednesday’s Champions League match against Olympique Marseille.
The Gazzetta dello Sport claims the replacement would be Figo and current assistant manager Beppe Baresi until the end of the season.
Director Figo confirmed he had already given the all-clear to become a tactician when Gian Piero Gasperini was axed in September, but Ranieri took the job instead.
The other option is Capello, now a free agent after he resigned as England manager just a few months before Euro 2012.
It is certainly not the first time that Capello has been linked with Inter, but the former Milan, Roma, Real Madrid and Juventus boss would be unlikely to accept this post so far into the season.
The Corriere dello Sport has another suggestion, claiming that Roberto Baggio could take his first coaching job in order to help the Nerazzurri.
Baggio, who turns 45 today, has been taking his coaching certificate course this season and is currently part of the Italian Federation staff for youth development.
