There have already been some surprises in the tournament, as Congo side Mazembe knocked Mexicans Pachuca out of the competition with a 1-0 victory on Friday.

Mazembe Englebert are champions of Africa, while Club de Futbol Pachuca were expected to reach the next stage as CAF winners, but Mbeza Beli scored the decisive goal.

Now Mazembe go through to face Internacional in the semi-final, so the winner of that tie will likely take on Inter for the trophy.

Later today the Nerazzurri will learn their semi-final opponents, as Al-Wahda Sports Club take on Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma.

Meanwhile, Figo is already looking ahead to the Champions League knock-out draw on December 17.

“It will be a difficult draw for us, because without doubt we'll be paired with an important club, as we finished runners-up in our group.

“The draw could give us Barcelona or Real Madrid, for example. In that case, my desire would be to face Real, as it would be like a return home for me.”

It would also be a comeback for Madrid boss Mourinho, who won the Treble with Inter last season.
