The world of football reacts after 12 clubs – including Juventus, Milan and Inter – decided to break away and create the European Super League.

The former Portugal international claims the founding clubs of the competition are ‘greedy’ and predicts a ‘disaster for our grassroots and the wider football community’.

“This so-called Super League is anything but Super,” Figo wrote on Twitter. “This greedy and callous move would spell disaster for our grassroots, for women’s football, and the wider football community.
