FIGC commissioner Roberto Fabbricini has slammed Lazio’s ‘stupid’ ultras, who could be investigated for their comments about women.

Lazio ultras caused controversy and consternation when ordering women and children to avoid the ‘sacred space’ of the Olimpico’s Curva Nord before the Aquile’s 2-1 defeat to Napoli on Saturday.

“It was the bad joke of the summer,” Fabbricini responded to Radio Anch’io Sport.

“When we talk about a stadium that must go back to being a meeting point for families, ghettoising a group of people seems very stupid to me.”

The Corriere della Sera claims police investigators have identified the individuals who distributed the leaflets and reported its findings to prosecutors.

The FIGC would also be thinking about opening its own investigation.
