The FIGC have confirmed that Matteo Guendouzi’s two-match ban has been reduced to just one game, meaning that he will be available for Lazio’s upcoming match against Frosinone in Serie A on Saturday evening.
The former Arsenal and Marseille midfielder was one of three Lazio players to be sent off during the 1-0 loss to the Rossoneri at the Stadio Olimpico just shy of a fortnight ago.
Guendouzi was the third Biancocelesti player to be dismissed after being shown a second yellow card for what was deemed a reactionary foul on Milan’s Christian Pulisic in second half injury time.

The general reaction was that referee Marco Di Bello was harsh in sending Geundouzi off. He ended up dishing out nine yellow cards and three reds on the night. Di Bello was later hit with a suspension himself after his performance.
The FIGC have since confirmed that Guendouzi’s suspension has been reduced from two matches to just one. He had already sat out on Lazio’s 2-1 loss to Udinese on Monday evening, so he is now available to face Frosinone this weekend.
