The FIGC prosecutor’s office has reportedly opened an investigation into the Milan squad for singing anti-Juventus chants after their win over Roma.

The Rossoneri secured a 2-1 victory at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday evening, continuing the club’s perfect start to the 2023-24 season.

On the bus back to the airport, Leao filmed videos for social media showing the players celebrating their victory, singing some songs poking fun at Juventus.

As reported by ANSA, FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Chine has decided to open an investigation on the anti-Juventus chants sung by the Milan squad after the win over Roma, acquiring the video footage as evidence.

The investigation is focused on ‘the possible violation of the pillars of loyalty, probity and correctness, and identify those responsible’.

The videos posted by Leao on social media went viral, leading to some outrage from Juventus supporters, prompting the FIGC to open the investigation. Updates are expected in the coming weeks and a fine could be handed to Milan as punishment.

  1. Wasn’t expecting this from Milan players or fans alike.
Even though we are competitors and rivals on the pitch, outside of it, we’re not enemies.
Was expecting this to come from inter players and fans, but not Milan’s…

Oh well, it is what it is.

  2. So what lol we hammer these players for acting like robots in interviews but criticize them when showing emotion like pure fans. Everyone should give their heads a shake. Ridiculous.
