Il Corriere dello Sport reports hypotheses of crime in the file opened by the Public Prosecutor of Avellino.
The President of Futura Diagnostica, the laboratory that Lazio relies on for the swabs, has been registered as a suspect, according to the report.
The hypotheses presented by the Roman newspaper reveals Lazio are under investigation of falsity in a public document, negligent spreading of the virus and fraud in public procurement.
The local health authority of Rome intervened in the cases of Ciro Immobile, Lucas Leiva and Thomas Strakosha, blocking them on the eve of the 1-1 game against Juventus.
But the concerns at Lazio aren’t over, as the Prosecutor of Avellino has, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, opened a file directly connected to the investigation by the Federal Porsecutor’s Office.
On Saturday evening the Guardia di Finanza came to Formello and the laboratory to acquire swabs, reports and documents relating to the tests carried out on the players and staff at the Biancocelesti.
The Prosecutor’s Office wants to understand how the swabs carried out by Futura Diagnostica di Avellino differ from the analyses of SynLab (UEFA) and Campus Biomedico in Rome.
The tests from Avellino reportedly came back negative for all the Lazio players, the same day as Campus Biomedico had reportedly discovered three cases of positivity.
The newspaper reveals Guarda di Finanza also collected information about the communication between Lazio and the local health authorities in Rome.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals the Lazio medic Ivo Pulcini has not appeared at the FIGC Prosecutor’s hearing.
