Roma CEO Guido Fienga finds it “useful” to set plans to “understand how much it takes to be ready” for Serie A to resume play.

Serie A has been suspended since March 9 and the different hypotheses of a possible return have been widely discussed in Italian media.

Fienga reveals that it’s helpful to set the possible dates early, as the players will need time to catch up before the campaign can be concluded.

“Setting steps is useful, it helps to understand how much it takes to be ready,” he told Corriere della Sera. “But each date is subject to an emergency.

“The training sessions are regulated by a ministerial decree and the doctors have given clear indications.

“It takes a month of training to resume playing, hence the idea of April 3, but everything can change according to the evolution of the emergency.”
