It is crunch time in the Champions League opening phase and these Feyenoord vs. Lazio predictions look at the first game of a pivotal double-header in Group E.
Feyenoord vs. Lazio odds
1 – Feyenoord to win – 17/20
2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 11/10
3 – Both teams not to score – 6/5
4 – Santiago Giménez to score at any time – 11/8
5 – Feyenoord to win to nil – 5/2
Feyenoord will be pretty happy with the way their Champions League campaign has gone so far. After being drawn in a tough group, the Dutch side opened with a win against Celtic and then shared five goals in an incredible first half with Atlético before ultimately losing.
That defeat left Arne Slot’s side third in Group E but with the prospect of a hugely important double-header against main rivals Lazio up next. A positive result in the first match at home on Wednesday would really set them up nicely for the second half of the group stage.
Feyenoord haven’t lost a single game at home this season and could heap more worries on Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri by claiming the points here. Hotshot striker Santiago Giménez could be the one to cause most of the problems for the Serie A side.
Lazio have been having far more trouble domestically this season, although the win against Atalanta before the international break will have been a relief as well as a huge confidence boost for the Aquile.
Going to De Kuip and expecting to come away with anything is a completely different prospect, however. The passionate home fans will make it difficult for the Lazio players to settle and the Roman club could be coming home empty-handed.
Sarri may also have to do without star striker Ciro Immobile, although he is likely to be rested for the league game against Sassuolo this weekend in the hope that his injury clears before this massively important fixture.

Feyenoord team news
Arne Slot should not have too many injury worries for this one and will look to field a very familiar starting XI at De Kuip on Wednesday. Timon Wellenreuther could keep the goalkeeper’s jersey in place of Netherlands international Justin Bijlow.
Lazio team news
Maurizio Sarri will be sweating on the injury updates concerning ‘keeper Ivan Provedel and striker Ciro Immobile. The latter may be able to play but Luigi Sepe is more likely to start in goal. Nicolò Casale should start, even though he is one of the latest to become involved in the ongoing betting scandal in Serie A.
