Feyenoord are the latest club to enter the race for Italy international sensation Willy Gnonto from FC Zurich.

The wide forward came up through the Inter youth academy, but left as a free agent last summer because he was frustrated at the lack of options.

He joined FC Zurich for free on a two-year contract and is widely expected to move on after making his senior Italy debut in the Nations League.

Several clubs have already been mentioned, including Bologna, Torino, Sassuolo, Sampdoria, Monza, TSG Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg.

Now Voetbal International have named Feyenoord as contenders for his signature, although here too he would compete with free agent Danilo for a starting spot.

FC Zurich are asking for over €20m to sell the 18-year-old Italian, who can play in a variety of attacking roles including as a False 9.

He has been compared to former Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne for his height and playing style, scoring 10 goals in 36 competitive games for FC Zurich this season.
