Genoa attacker Giannis Fetfatzidis says that he is optimistic in his recovery from a sports hernia he suffered this summer.
The Greek fantasista got injured while on duty with Greece at the World Cup in Brazil, but he is now ready to return to action as soon as Serie A resumes this month.
“I am feeling better and the confidence is growing,” Fetfa has commented on Genoa’s official website.
“The surgery has been recently carried out and I still feel a bit uncomfortable, but that’s normal and the feelings are positives.
“After a difficult period in which I’ve suffered and I faced sacrifices, morale is ever increasing.
“I had never been on the sidelines for so long, although it’s just a few months. Now I just want to come back and help my teammates.
“I was also happy to meet Claudio Ranieri, although not face to face but with other people around. But I was happy that he took notice of my conditions.”
