Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero insulted some fans and hinted Mario Balotelli could join Antonio Cassano.

Today the Blucerchiati signed free agent Cassano to a two-year contract, despite Coach Walter Zenga saying on several occasions that the striker was not needed.

This afternoon Cassano had lunch with Zenga in Genoa and will begin training later today.

A fan wrote to President Ferrero on Twitter claiming the contract had “effectively robbed Zenga of authority and if he had any dignity he should now resign.”
Ferrero replied in his typical unfiltered fashion, telling the supporter to stop “talking bull.”

The President then retweeted a message urging him to “complete the picture with another hitman.”

It included a photo montage of Cassano, Ferrero and Liverpool striker Balotelli.

It was again reported today in The Sun that Balo has been offered to several different Serie A clubs, but nobody seems to want him.

Sampdoria are the most likely and Ferrero publicly stated Liverpool “want €10m” for the Italy international, around half what they paid Milan a year ago.

With time running out in the transfer window, Liverpool could let Samp take him on loan with option to buy.

Balotelli is very good friends with Cassano and the pair played together for Italy at the 2014 World Cup.
