Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero encourages 'throwing out' President Giampietro Manenti for his role in Parma's financial crisis.
The Blucerchiati chief previously declared his unconditional solidarity towards the Ducali, who are on the brink of bankruptcy and were docked two points again today.
In an interview with Rete Sport, Ferrero made it clear that his sympathy did not extend to the Emiliani's President.
“Football is a business, so if anyone is guilty, that's the business manager,” he said, before adding a caveat: “Sampdoria have no debts.
“Who exactly is Manenti? What is he doing? Let's throw him out! [Football] Presidents should do less talking and more working.”
Ferrero's attack is but the latest in a string of anti-Manenti declarations. Parma shareholder Roberto Giuli was in a summit with the President today, but he emerged discouraged in spite of his own chief's optimistic statements.
“I think the same things about him [Manenti] that you do,” he said, upon leaving the meeting, as reported by ParmaLive.com.
“He says he has a plan to save the club, he has the money and he's waiting for the tribunal [to give him legal guarantees on the payments].
“But I've seen neither money nor guarantees, just talk. I lost €4m here and I'm already in the red.”
