Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero calls Alessio Dionisi ‘a serial traitor’ after negotiations with the coach collapsed.

Dionisi had been in talks with Sampdoria for several weeks before the Italian tactician began negotiations with Sassuolo who are now close to reaching an agreement with him.

Dionisi led Empoli to Serie A, but his decision to leave the Tuscans left their President Fabrizio Corsi furious.

“I think Corsi was right when he said he expected a different behaviour from Dionisi,” Ferrero told Il Secolo XIX.

“I can see that he ended his contract with Venezia two years ago, then he left Empoli and he abandoned negotiations with us to sign with a different club,” he continued.

“I call this betrayal, I would add serial, considering what happened in the past.

“Everybody is free to make his choices, but I am free to judge, basing my opinion on what I see.”
