Juventus president Gianluca Ferrero commented on how ‘the club will play its part in the courtrooms’ amidst their various off-pitch issues.

The Bianconeri’s season has been rocked by a number of legal issues. Back in late November, Andrea Agnelli and the entire board of directors resigned as a result of the ongoing Prisma investigation, looking into the club’s financial practices over the last few years.

In January, Juventus were handed a 15-point deduction by the FIGC court for inflating player transfer values to produce falsified capital gains.

Speaking at a meeting with Juventus Club Giovanni and Umberto Agnelli, Ferrero discussed Juventus’ off-pitch issues and how they’ll respond.

“Juventus will defend ourselves with all our strengths in the competent venues, I was and remain a Juventus fan.

“What we said in the meeting with the team remains. The club will play its part in the courtrooms and the players, as they are doing, are called to answer on the pitch.”

On March 27, Juventus will attend the preliminary hearing of the Prisma investigation at the Court of Turin. Just under a month later, on April 19, CONI’s Collegio di Garanzia will make a decision regarding the club’s appeal against the 15-point deduction handed to them.
