Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero calls for focus on the Europa League and not ‘any other matters’.
It was revealed last week that former Blucerchiati patron Edoardo Garrone was still investing in the club, calling finances into question.
In a statement on the club’s website, Ferrero does not specifically address the situation, but calls for focus to be concentrated on the pitch.

It was revealed last week that former Blucerchiati patron Edoardo Garrone was still investing in the club, calling finances into question.
In a statement on the club’s website, Ferrero does not specifically address the situation, but calls for focus to be concentrated on the pitch.
“We worked for a whole season for a European Sampdoria,” the film-maker said.
“Now we have to lower the volume, focus on our lads, our strengths, and the first two qualifying matches for the Europa League.
“Walter Zenga and the team have been working for weeks to prepare for these games, and any other matters are not a priority at the moment.
“All that matters is the desire, enthusiasm and focus to win these games and continue the European project of Sampdoria and our fans.”
