Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero reveals Antonio Cassano “accepted the rules and is happy to remain.”
The patron spoke to Mediaset Premium as he arrived for the Serie A 2016-17 fixtures draw in Milan.
“Cassano didn’t need to convince me,” assured Ferrero.
“We all know what he’s like. I didn’t have an argument with him, we just had a chat, cleared the air and set some rules. I am not taking revenge, I just asked for rigorous attitude and behaviour.

“He is training well and if the Coach wants, he can be an extra asset. Cassano understood the situation and he is happy to remain.”
Samp had been expected to sign Dodo from Inter after his six-month loan, but there are issues.
“Dodo is a player who interests me a great deal and he is in my heart, but last I heard he wasn’t convinced. Tomorrow we’ll have a meeting with (Coach Marco) Giampaolo, so if he still wants him then we’ll find a way.”
