It looks like newly promoted Doria have finally found a Coach after failing to tempt Rafael Benitez last week.
Although Beppe Iachini helped them ensure promotion to the top flight via the play-offs, the Marassi outfit have been looking for a new tactician.
Ferrara has reportedly been tempted by the club’s offer and he’ll have another go at Serie A following an unsuccessful spell at Juventus which ended in mid-season dismissal.
The 45-year-old’s departure from the Azzurrini set-up could see Mangia, sacked by Palermo in December, take charge of the U-21 team.
Other candidates for the national job include Marco Giampaolo, Alberigo Evani, Daniele Zoratto and Gigi Di Biagio.
