Ferguson: Scotland international offered new Bologna contract amid Man Utd rumours

According to Monday’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport on page 26, Bologna opened contract extension talks a few months ago, weeks after his injury in a Serie A match against Monza.

At that time, Ferguson had attracted interest from several European clubs, including Manchester United, who ultimately signed his former teammate Joshua Zirkzee last summer.

According to the report, Ferguson is happy to extend his stay at Bologna, and the club will continue negotiations with his agent in the coming weeks.

Ferguson, 25, has 13 goals in 63 Serie A games with Bologna and his contract at the Stadio Dall’Ara expires in June 2027.
