Sir Alex Ferguson hails Carlo Ancelotti as “one of the best managers the game has seen”.
The Coach is currently unemployed after leaving Real Madrid this summer, but the legendary former Manchester United boss expects him to return soon.
“Carlo Ancelotti is one of my good friends and also one of the best managers the game has seen,” Ferguson wrote in the match programme for a charity game against Carletto in aid of Unicef.

“Carlo Ancelotti is one of my good friends and also one of the best managers the game has seen,” Ferguson wrote in the match programme for a charity game against Carletto in aid of Unicef.
“He is a great guy and I think he'll be back in the game shortly, there is no doubt about that. People with that ability don't stay out of it for too long.
“Of course, we have come up against each other before. My best memory of those meeting has to be when we beat Juventus in the Champions League semi-final in 1999 in Turin.
“Carlo has an unbelievable record in the European Cup both as a player and manager – winning it twice in both roles with AC Milan [sic], as well as winning it again as a manager at Real Madrid.
“I don't think anyone else has done that so he's on a pedestal on his own in that respect.”
Ancelotti has a stellar record as a Coach, winning League titles in England, France and Italy, as well as three Champions Leagues, the Coppa Italia and the Coppa Del Rey.
However, even that impressive haul is dwarfed by Ferguson, who guided Aberdeen to three Scottish titles, four Scottish Cups, the League Cup and the Cup Winners’ Cup.
He then moved to Manchester United, winning the Premier League 13 times, the Champions League twice, the FA Cup five times and the League cup on four occasions, as well as another Cup Winners’ Cup.
