After Manchester United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid, now Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are reportedly pushing to sign Fiorentina outcast Sofyan Amrabat.
The midfielder turns 28 later this month and had spent last season on loan at Old Trafford at a cost of €9m, but the Premier League side did not take up their option to make the move permanent for a further €25m.
They were hoping to instead negotiate a cheaper deal, though it does not seem likely now that clubs are lining up to sign the Morocco international.
Amrabat on way out of Fiorentina
Fiorentina need to sell, as his contract only runs to June 2025, and there has also been interest from Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Milan and Napoli in recent weeks.
However, now Tuttomercatoweb maintain that Mourinho and Fenerbahce are pushing to bring Amrabat to Turkey.
Negotiations are intensifying and it is a destination that would suit the player too.
He would not have a future in the Viola jersey and is set to return to pre-season training under new coach Raffaele Palladino this week.
