Aziz Yıldırım, a candidate for Fenerbahce’s presidency, hints that José Mourinho wants to reunite with Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku at the Turkish club.

José Mourinho would love to work with Dybala and Lukaku again, Aziz Yıldırım, one of the candidates to become the new President of Fenerbahce, suggests.

Mourinho has officially been hired by the Turkish side six months after being sacked by Roma and, apparently, he’d love to reunite with some Giallorossi stars.

Yıldırım had claimed Fenerbahce should have hired Mourinho, which is what the club’s management did a few days later.

“If I had not said Jose Mourinho, would they have gone and agreed?” the candidate for the club’s presidency said at a press conference, as quoted by Turkish outlet Fanatik.

“They do what I say. I also mentioned the players. We said Lukaku. We said Dybala and Talisca. We keep the rest for ourselves. I’ll tell you after I am elected.”

Dybala’s contract with Roma expires in June 2025 and he has a €12m clause for clubs outside Serie A. In a recent interview with The Atheltic, the Argentinean said that he still doesn’t know whether to remain at the Stadio Olimpico beyond the summer.

Lukaku, on the other hand, will return to Chelsea after a one-season loan at Roma, where he scored 21 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions.
