Female official Stephanie Frappart has been confirmed as the referee for tomorrow’s Italy Under-21 match against Armenia.

Frappart made history in August when she officiated the European Super Cup between Champions League finalists Liverpool and Europa League winners Chelsea, becoming the first woman to arbitrate a UEFA men’s game.

The 35-year-old is also on Ligue 1’s books full time this season, and she will now make her bow in an Italy match.

The Azzurrini are currently second in Group A, with two games in hand on their rivals.
