“I know Messi well, but I’m not the only one. He’s the best in the world and everybody is aware of that,” said the Argentina international in his Press conference.

“We mustn’t think only about Messi, but the whole Barcelona team. Let’s have respect for the others. Then of course we’ll think about our own approach, which is the fundamental thing.

“I haven’t particularly talked to Messi about the game. He knows Roma, just as we know Barcelona. It’ll be a great game.”

Fazio was asked if Roma will defend deeper and be more prudent than they have so far in the Champions League.

“We don’t want to give Barcelona any advantages. I can only say our attitude on the field will be the right one. I don’t want to say to what degree Barcelona are favourites or give a percentage of our qualification either. We want to keep doing great things and that is all.”
