Fatih Karagumruk have announced the dismissal of head coach Andrea Pirlo with three games left in the Super Lig season.

The 44-year-old coach took over the Turkish club back in June of last year, a little over 12 months after his time with Juventus came to an abrupt end.

Pirlo’s time in Turkey initially started slow, with Fatih Karagumruk only managing one win in his first nine league games in charge, but he began turning things around and picking up some decent results.

As announced by Fatih Karagumruk today, Pirlo has been dismissed by the club ahead of their final three Super Lig games of the season, allowing them to start planning ahead for the 2023-24 season.

Fatih Karagumruk currently sit 9th in the Super Lig table, 10 points clear of the relegation zone and 30 points behind the European spots.

Pirlo oversaw 34 matches total at the club, picking up 11 wins, 11 draws and 12 losses. The team have lost their last three league outings, being defeated by Antalyaspor, Adana Demirspor and Trabzonspor.
