It looks as if Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey will not be joining Andrea Pirlo, as Fatih Karagumruk confirm they ‘gave up’ on negotiations with the Wales international.

There were strong reports that Ramsey would follow former Juventus coach Pirlo to Turkey this summer as a free agent, once he managed to terminate his Bianconeri contract by mutual consent.

However, Fatih Karagumruk patron Suleyman Hurman told TRT Spor that this is no longer an option.

“We practically reached the stage of an agreement with Ramsey, but then we gave up.”

It is not clear what caused the total breakdown of negotiations, but it is another blow for Juventus, who are hoping to get him off their wage bill.

The discussions to terminate the contract early by mutual consent are also hitting problems, as it’s reported Ramsey wants a €4m pay-off to leave with one season on his deal, whereas Juve are at most offering €2m.

Meanwhile, Hurman also praised the decision to bring in Pirlo as coach, noting the story “hit the headlines in 103 countries. It is a very important moment for our football history.”

  1. Where did they get a picture of Ramsey in a Juve shirt? Must be photoshopped. I believe they’ll get bigfoot next.
Total leech of a player. Paratici should pay damages.
