This is meant to be the meeting of two brothers on the touchline, but Simone is at home after testing positive for COVID-19.

“Let’s just say I feel a bit like I’m intruding on a family affair…” Simone’s assistant manager Farris told Lazio Style Channel.

“I will bring Simone’s message to Pippo, but after that it’ll be a real battle. The boss is doing fine, everyone is feeling better. We’re now just waiting for the swab to come up negative and hope it’s soon.

“Manuel Lazzari and Tucu Correa are back after missing the Verona game through suspension, and they are not to be taken for granted. Felipe Caicedo is not available, but we’ll be rotating the squad with three games over the next week.

“Simone is monitoring all the training sessions and we make all the decisions along with him. We want to dedicate another victory to him, just as we did with Verona.

“I know how close he is with his brother Pippo and how lovely it would’ve been to see them together on the touchline.”

Benevento are not to be underestimated, especially as they earned a shock 1-0 win at the Allianz Juventus Stadium last month.

“The statistics say they are a dangerous opponent. Filippo is doing a great job, he picked up five away victories, including in Turin. Benevento change system often and that makes them difficult to take countermeasures against.

“We know their general characteristics and the kind of game we want to play. If we want to chase down the Champions League places, we have to start sprinting and get the three points.”
