Alanyaspor coach Francesco Farioli is reportedly in the process of finalising his departure from the Super Lig club.

The 33-year-old Italian, who worked with Roberto De Zerbi at Benevento and Sassuolo, took over at the Turkish club in December 2021, returning after his previous six-month spell as their assistant coach.

Since his arrival, Farioli has overseen 47 matches with Alanyaspor, averaging 1.55 points per match from 21 wins and 10 draws.

TMW reports that Farioli has decided to leave his post as head coach and is now negotiating his exit with Alanyaspor’s management. The decision was taken by the coach himself and not the club, who have been happy with his work in the dug-out.

The Italian started his career as a goalkeeping coach and joined the Italy national team set-up as an advisor in 2016, spending two years in the role. Following this, he worked closely with De Zerbi at both Benevento and Sassuolo before heading for Turkey.
