OGC Nice coach Francesco Farioli has become the latest to be added to the shortlist of possible replacements for Stefano Pioli at Milan.
The Italian tactician is widely expected to be dismissed by the Rossoneri at the end of the season following the recent Europa League quarter-final exit and Derby della Madonnina loss to Inter, two results that perfectly sum up the mood of the fans heading into the summer.
Milan have started to draw up a list of candidates to replace Pioli in the summer, keen to kickstart a new project. Options for now include Julien Lopetegui, Paulo Fonseca, Mark van Bommel and Domenico Tedesco, but no final decision has been made yet.
Farioli option
As reported by Corriere della Sera via TMW, Milan have also started following Nice coach Farioli, believing the 35-year-old Italian to be a relatively untested but exciting option.
Farioli joined the Ligue 1 outfit last summer and has impressed in his debut season, putting his side in the thick of the fight for European qualification, averaging 1.6 points per match across 30 league matches.
