SPAL wing-back Mohamed Fares has agreed terms with Lazio in a deal worth €10m, possibly with Simone Palombi moving on loan too.

According to Sportitalia, the two clubs and the player’s entourage will work out the final details next week.

The deal is essentially already done for €10m, although midfielder Palombi – who spent last season on loan at Cremonese – could move to SPAL on loan as part of the arrangement.

It will allow Fares to reunite with his former SPAL teammate Manuel Lazzari, who had such an impressive first season at Lazio.

The 24-year-old Algeria international made only eight Serie A appearances this season because of a serious knee injury.
