Fans react as Juventus freeze out Bonucci, not everyone agrees with club

Juventus‘ decision on Leonardo Bonucci has triggered the Old Lady’s fans on social media, but not everyone seems happy with the club’s method.

The Italy international has been told that he’s no longer needed at the Allianz Stadium despite having a year left in his contract. This means Bonucci must find a new club for 2023-24 if he wants to have a chance to play in the Euros next summer.

Fans have reacted on social media and although many seem to be happy that the club is moving on, focusing on young and emerging players, some others believe that such an important player in the history of the club should have been treated differently.

Italian and English fans of the Old Lady have commented on Juventus’ decision on Twitter, showing diverging opinions.

Bonucci joined Juventus in 2010, leaving six years later for Milan. He spent just one season at the Stadio Meazza, returning to Turin in 2017.
