Fans and pundits have been left confused by José Moruinho’s reaction to Romelu Lukaku’s red card on Sunday as most didn’t understand why the Special One laughed when the Belgian striker was sent off.

Roma got away with a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday despite being reduced to nine men in the second half.

Poland winger Nicola Zalewski was given his marching orders after receiving two yellow cards, while Lukaku was given a straight red for a horror tackle on Christian Kouamé.

Mourinho looked furious when referee Antonio Rapuano showed a red card to Lukaku and was spotted laughing sarcastically on the touchline.

The Roma coach didn’t talk to the media after the game and waited until Monday afternoon to comment on the incident through his official Instagram account.

Italian sports papers analysed Rapuano’s decision saying that Lukaku’s red card was legitimate and most fans and pundits seem not to understand why the Special One laughed sarcastically when his star striker was sent off.
