Nicolo Fagioli was carried off the field on a stretcher after 41 minutes of Juventus’ Europa League semi-final second leg against Sevilla on Thursday night, with what is already reported to be a suspected injury to his collarbone.

The 22-year-old was left on the floor following a strong collision with Sevilla’s Nemanja Gudelj and Juventus medical staff immediately called for him to be replaced when they arrived to assess the extent of the damage.

According to Goal Italia’s Juventus correspondent Romeo Agresti, Fagioli might have suffered a fracture to the clavicle bone, which, if confirmed, would rule him out of the Bianconeri’s remaining games of the 2022-23 season.

With a handful of minutes left to go before the referee blew for time in the first half of the semi-final second leg, Massimiliano Allegri brought on Leandro Paredes in place of the injured Fagioli.

At half-time, the scores were level in the tie at 0-0 on the night, following the 1-1 draw at the Allianz Stadium in the first leg last Thursday.

Should Juventus find a tie-winning goal before full-time, they will set up a final against either Roma or Bayer Leverkusen depending on the outcome of Thursday evening’s other semi-final.
