Tuttosport reported Genoa are in talks with his agent and close to reaching an agreement with the young midfielder and sporting director Faggiano claims the Rossoblu want to keep him at the Marassi until June.

“We must acknowledge Mr Rolando Maran, who sent him on the pitch without any ulterior motive,” Faggiano told Telenord. “It would be easy to say that we knew his contract would expire.

“It’s a delicate situation. Together with the administrator Alessandro Zarbano, we are working to find an agreement in order to avoid the squandering of a great Genoa heritage.”

“Rovella’s desire to stay with us is important and, I think, that among intelligent people we will find a solution.

“If we manage to keep him until June and if there are offers from important clubs, then it could also end well.”
