Facundo Gonzalez has landed in Italy, ready to head to Turin to complete his transfer to Juventus.

The Uruguayan centre back attracted the attention of the Bianconeri due to his incredible work at the U-20 World Cup, where he was voted as the best defender in the tournament. Cristiano Giuntoli had already been following him and decided now was the perfect time for a move.

Gonazlez is expected to leave Valencia for Juventus in a unique deal, which’ll see the Bianconeri pay no fee but agree to a series of add-ons which total around €3-4m, as well as a 20% future resale clause.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Gonzalez has now arrived in Italy with his agent Martin Guastadisegno and he will head to Turin to carry out his medicals with Juventus, before putting pen to paper on his contract.

The 20-year-old centre back is expected to immediately leave the Bianconeri to join Salernitana on loan, giving him time to adapt and acclimatise to Serie A.
