Fabrizio Romano reports Como are working on a deal to sign Raphael Varane as Cesc Fabregas wants to work with the ex-Manchester United centre-back.
Newly promoted Serie A side Como ‘dream’ of signing France veteran Varane as a free agent, Italian transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reports on X, formerly Twitter.
Varane has already announced his departure from Manchester United at the end of his contract on June 30, and according to the report, Fabregas dreams of bringing him to Como in 2024-25.

Romano reports that several European clubs are also interested in the ex-Real Madrid and Manchester United defender, while The Mirror has linked the experienced centre-back with a move to Inter Miami, where he would join Leo Messi.
Varane, 31, won the 2018 France World Cup and has lifted the Champions League trophy four times with Real Madrid.
He joined Manchester United in a €40m deal in 2021 and made 95 appearances with the Red Devils, scoring two goals.
Como were promoted to Serie B in 2023-24 with Osian Roberts joining Fabregas on the bench as the Spaniard has yet to get his UEFA coaching badges.
