Former Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas says Antonio Conte is the toughest coach he’s ever had and refuses to rule out a transfer to Serie A: ‘Never say never.’

The 34-year-old is under contract with Monaco until June 2022. He’s never played in Serie A, but worked with two Italian coaches: Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte.

Fabregas took some time to interact with his followers on Twitter where he refused to rule out a move to Serie A.

When asked if he’d come to play in Italy one day, he replied: ‘Never say never.’

Fabregas also mentioned Antonio Conte as the toughest coach he’s ever had.

Conte coached Fabregas at Chelsea with the Blues that won one Premier League and one FA Cup during the Italian’s two-year-spell at the club.

Conte has been linked with the Manchester United job, but the Red Devils didn’t sack their coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after their 5-0 defeat against Liverpool and the coach is expected to remain in charge of the Premier League giants at least until November break.
