However, Fabregas – who played with Messi at Camp Nou – told Cadena COPE: “I talk to Messi, his idea has always been to finish his career at Barcelona.

“After that, a thousand things can happen at the club but I’m fully confident that he’ll finish his career at Barcelona.”
