Fans are excited to see Cesc Fabregas in action and tickets are rapidly selling out for Como’s season opener against Cagliari.

The 35-year-old Spaniard left Monaco on a free transfer last month after his contract expired, prompting him to find one more adventure as he enters the twilight of his career. The 2010 World Cup winner surprised many by making the move to Como, signing a two-year contract with the Serie B club.

As reported by La Provincia, Como’s 13,602-seater Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia could sell out for their season opener against Cagliari on August 14 as fans prepare to see Fabregas in action for the first time.

The Curva and Distinti stands have already sold out and tickets only remain now for the grandstand, which could sell out later this week. More than half of the tickets sold for the Curva are season tickets, giving Como something to smile about as they prepare for a tough Serie B campaign.
