Como midfielder Cesc Fabregas was impressed by Antonio Candreva’s goal against Lazio and congratulated the Salernitana winger on Twitter.
The Granata shocked Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, sealing a 3-1 win, also inspired by Candreva’s goal in the second half.
Maurizio Sarri’s side broke the deadlock through Mattia Zaccagni minutes before the break, but Candreva levelled the score with a stunning chip finish at the beginning of the second half with Federico Fazio and Boulaye Dia finishing the job with a goal each.
Fabregas, a former Chelsea and Barcelona star, congratulated Candreva on Twitter after his goal at the Stadio Olimpico.
Salernitana have 16 points after 12 Serie A games, hovering ten points above the drop zone.
Lazio remain in the top four, but their city rivals Roma can leapfrog them with a win away at Verona today. Next week, the Giallorossi and Biancocelesti will meet in the Derby Della Capitale.
