Fiorentina winger Nicolas Gonzalez still hasn’t agreed personal terms with Leicester City due to their desire to include a specific clause in the deal, sources tell Football Italia.

The Foxes are keen to make a move for the 24-year-old Argentinian winger this month and have submitted an opening €34m bid to la Viola, which was rejected. A raise will be needed to secure his signature.

Gonzalez is an exciting part of Vincenzo Italiano’s squad in Florence but injuries have limited his time on the pitch this season. Despite that, the Argentine has netted five goals across 407 minutes of action.

Sources tell Football Italia that Gonzalez has still not agreed to a contract with Leicester City due to their desire to include a clause that’ll allow them to lower his wages should they suffer relegation. The salary itself is not a roadblock and the winger still hasn’t made up his mind yet regarding the move either.

Brendan Rogers’ side currently sit 13th in the Premier League table with 17 points, just two ahead of relegation candidates Everton.
